The Issue: MS Office installation on a Mac computer

MS Office helps simplify basic office tasks and improve work productivity. Each application is designed to address specific tasks, such as word processing, data management, making presentations, and organizing emails.

Microsoft Office is a suite of programs that includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, and OneNote. All of these programs share common features, such as the ribbon bar, command tabs, smart tags, screen tips, and help.

The following methods can be used to install MS Office 2016 on Mac OSX.

There are many MS Office programs available. We have to choose according to need.

Go to your account’s Office page. Go to http://www.office.com/myaccount/. This will open a page with your Office purchase.

  • Click Install again. Your Office setup file will begin downloading

  • Click Downloads. This folder is on the left side of the Finder window.

  • Double-click the Office setup file. Doing so will prompt it to begin running.

  • Click Continue twice. It’s in the bottom-right corner of the page. You’ll do this once on the first page of the setup, and then again on the second page

  • Click Agree. This will indicate that you agree to Microsoft’s terms of use.

  • Click Continue. It’s in the bottom-right corner of the page.

  • Click Close when prompted. Your Microsoft Office programs have now been installed on your computer. You’re free to begin using these programs right away.
  • Go to applications and create a shortcut on the desktop.

Now MS office 2016 is ready to use.
